Small Bamboo Celadon Cup

Known as “the beautiful jade of Chinese porcelain”, Longquan Celadon stands out through its lustrous green glaze and intricate craftsmanship. The firing technique dates back to the year 220 and its the only porcelain-related item in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. Covered overall with an even glaze of bluish-green tone, the cup is sitting on a foot ring, from which the cylindrical body raises towards a slightly everted rim. The elegant leaf petal impressed in the centre of the interior and the handmade bamboo decoration on the outside of the cup characterise this porcelain masterpiece.
