The copy is made by artist Zurab Potskhishvili and goldsmith Vasil (Joni) Tvauri. Material: copper with silver plate The item is made based on the 5th c. BC silver bowl found in the Greek Necropolis at Pichvnari (Adjara, West Georgia). The bowls decorated with almond ornament, widely spread in different countries during Antic period, was also popular in Georgia. The Omphalos, raised in the center in accordance to the Greek mythology, represents the navel of the world.
